Referral Process and Scheduling

New clients can self-refer directly by completing the form on the "Contact" page of this site.  Our Client Services Coordinator will follow up with you to answer your questions and match you with the therapist best suited for your unique situation.  Third-party referrals from healthcare and related service providers are also welcome.  Referral sources can communicate client information by phone, fax or mail, all of which are listed on the Contact page of this website.

This private practice is purposefully operated to ensure clients experience minimal waiting times for initial and follow-up appointments.   Appointments are offered on weekdays, evenings and weekends (Saturdays) to accommodate a varity of schedules.  Sessions are 50 minutes in duration, at a mutually agreed upon time and frequency.

Professional Fees

The fee for clinical services is based on the recommended rates of each practitioners discipline and ranges from $155.00 to $210.00 per 50 minute session.  Complete details will be discussed with clients at the time of intake with the Client Services Coordinator.

Receipts are provided for clients who wish to request reimbursement from their insurance company.  Therapy sessions may be claimed as a medical expense on annual income tax where eligible.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment notify your therapist as early as possible.  Your appointment time has been specifically reserved for your use only.

A minimum of 24-hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule appointments.  A late-cancellation fee includes the full cost of the session and must be paid before scheduling another appointment.

Counselling or psychotherapy services are reimbursable through many private health insurance plans.  At Beth Toomey & Associates we do not directly bill to our clients' personal health insurance plans.   Clients are responsible to seek reimbursement through their insurer upon payment for counselling services that is required at the time of their appointment.  Direct billing is available to members of the CAF, VAC, RCMP and persons eligible for NIHB benefits.

Clients are responsible to know the details of their insurance coverage and whether or not counselling services is covered by their insurance plan.
