SCHEDULING, FEES & INSURANCE
Referral Process and Scheduling
New clients can self-refer directly by calling (902) 565-2848 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. An administrative assistant will follow up to answer questions or schedule an initial appointment. Third party referrals from healthcare and related service providers are also welcome. Referral sources can communicate client information by phone, fax or mail, all of which are listed on the Contact page of this website.
This private practice is purposefully operated on a small scale to ensure clients experience minimal waiting times for initial and follow-up appointments. Weekly clinics are held during daytime hours only with no evenings available at this time. Sessions are ordinarily 60 minutes in duration, at a mutually agreed upon time and frequency.
The fee for psychotherapy is $160.00 per session. Payment can be made by cash, credit card, debit or cheque and must be received in full at the time of the appointment.
Receipts are provided for clients who wish to request reimbursement from their insurance company. Therapy sessions may be claimed as a medical expense on annual income tax where eligible.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
If clients need to cancel or reschedule a session at least 24 hours notice must be provided, as that slot could be utilized by another client. Please note that 24-hour advance cancellation or rescheduling of appointments is required to avoid being billed for the session.
Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment in less than 24 hours, or failing to attend an appointment, will result in the client being responsible for the full cost of the session.
Insurance plans & third party providers do not cover fees associated with late cancellations or missed appointments.
Due to the fact this service is an independent private practice, "on call" or emergency coverage is unable to be provided to clients.
